Seeded Farmhouse Loaf🙃...3 1/2 cups stoneground whole wheat flour 4 tsp baking powder1 tsp sea salt 1 1/2 cup water 1/2 cup melted vegetable butter Mixed seeds of your liking - I went for @tescofood pre-mixed seed mix with pumpkin, golden linseeds, sesame & sunflower seeds ...Pre-heat oven to 400 F / Gas mark 6. Combine all dry ingredients in a bowl & mix. Next add in wet ingredients and mix. Your dough should be moist but not wet. Add extra flour if needed. Next, form your dough into a circular/ oval ball with your hands. Place on baking tray and lightly score the top into an X shape. Next spray the loaf with olive oil (you can skip this step if you don’t have olive oil spray) & top with mixed seeds and sea salt. Bake for 40 mins. I then turned down the oven to gas mark 4 and kept in the oven for another 20 mins. I've been looking for ways to increase my protein intake and have found chia seeds to be a great food for that. 💪 They're rich in protein, as well as omega-3s, and taste great as a pudding or in a smoothie! I've found having just chia seed pudding on it's own can be quite bland, so I've been adding a few drops of natural stevia to it and it just adds that little bit of something extra 👌 Stevia is a fantastic sweetener to use as it's zero calories and low GI, meaning that it won't cause those huge spikes in your blood sugar after consuming it. So for a clean, easy breakfast that will also help to bump up your protein, I highly recommend chia seed pudding ✌ Please let me know if you guys try it out! 🥥🍓🍈Coconut, Lime & Roast Strawberry Tart...Making this was a joy although there were a few glitches. I almost never posted it as I am nowhere near satisfied with it but it’s a learning process. 🍰 Besides that, how much more are we going to hear foods being associated with guilt? Why are certain foods linked to guilt and why are we told to feel guilty for eating them?🥧 We have been so conditioned into thinking and believing that if we eat particular foods we should feel ashamed, a failure, less than...and all the other negative connotations that one can think up. ✅ Let’s stop with the negative associations around food and stop feeling guilty for eating and enjoying food. 📝 As 96% of you voted in my last poll for inclusion of recipes (thank you all 💕), I’ll be working on sharing more. (Please read this. 🙏🏽) But if you have cancer, heart disease, diabetes or Alzheimer's in your family and have suffered the agony of watching your loves suffer, then whilst you may have been dealt some poor genetic cards, you can reshuffle them with your diet. The future is not set. These awful diseases usually manifest themselves in older people, but they take decades to develop. So they way we eat today is directly influencing our future health. Everything you put in your mouth today will affect your future. Knowledge is power and I can't recommend these two books enough.
