However, you should be striving for body re-composition (gaining muscle whilst simultaneously losing fat). If you don’t provide your body with the adequate building blocks it needs, the 2-3lbs weight loss you’re experiencing each week will likely become more and more muscle.-The additional benefit, protein is the most satiating macronutrient of them all and also has a higher thermic effect than carbs & fat.-✅ Resistance trainingPretty much the same reason you need adequate protein, good luck trying to achieve the same body transformation on cardio or a calorie deficit alone.
