Off day hip mobility! Mobility has an active and a passive component. You need to gain range of motion, then be able to control that range of motion. I need to work on both when it comes to external hip rotation. Here are the biggest bang for your buck static stretches I do for just that. Pigeons and froggers! Studies show that if you aren’t holding the stretch for 2 min or so, you aren’t actually gaining any passive rom. My biggest hang up sometimes is how young I look. It’s hard for people to actually take me seriously; whether this is at work: “You can’t be my Nurse! You’ve gotta still be in high school!” 🙄 . Or at the gym: “That little girl shouldn’t be in the gym by herself. She can’t lift that” 🤬 . Or even just out running errands: “Where’s your parents?” “Umm, home? I’m 30 years old..” (dead silence ...) ...Point is, you can’t let the negativity of pre-judgement impede your efforts from becoming something great. ..#100to0 #wedothework #untilnexttime #travelnurse #traveldiaries #fitnessgoals
