Ayurveda recommends storing water overnight in a copper jug and drinking it first thing in the morning for maintaining good health. Our new favourite home made dish. Jamie's Pukka yellow curry. Made with organic chicken drumstick. I eat meat once a week, for healthy bones, joints, muscles, tissues and organs. I was a strict vegetarian for 10 years. My osteopath advised me to eat a little meat sometimes. So today was meat day. And it was a beautiful dish, made with love and respect for the animal. And it is ayurvedic too, even more tasty. We feel very satisfied. The dish is made of the 6 tastes: sweet, salt, sour, astringent, bitter and sharp.

#fuelforsoulIt is good to wake up before the sunrises, when there are loving (Sattvik) qualities in nature that bring peace and freshness to the senses.Sunrise varies according to the Seasons, but on average vata people should get up by 6 am, pitta people by 5.30 am, and kapha by 4.30 am.Right after waking, look at your hands for a few moments, then gently move them over your face and chest down to the waist. #VedicScienceSeries MUNG DHAAL - Here is a famous old proverb in Gujarati language, “મગ ચલાવે પગ”which literally means ‘The green Mung dal keeps your legs running.” Green mung (moong) beans are small, cylindrical, and bright green skin legumes. Mung beans is most cherished food in Ayurveda. According to ayurveda healers, this is most nutritious, while very easy to digest. Like many other legumes, the mung beans can be eaten raw when sprouted, or else eaten cooked with the skin on or off. Unlike other beans or legumes, they do not generally create abdominal gas or bloating. If you are recovering from unwell health or on diet plan, the boiled water of mung dal is very very effective. Mung beans are good source of dietary fiber and folate. Last week I posted a recipe photo of greens on Wednesday, Mercury day and wrote about the power of aligning with the planetary energy of each day of the week. Today, Thursday is Jupiter day (Jeudi). In the West Jupiter cane to be called Jove as in “By Jove!” So we have the Italian, Giovedi. The color for Jupiter is yellow. The gem is yellow sapphire. Because Jupiter is the Guru in Sanskrit, Thursday is a good day for spiritual study, initiations or offerings. So I just started using acai powder instead of frozen acai, and it was a good choice! This is my post workout snack - acai powder mixed with vanilla protein powder, unsweetened almond milk, frozen bananas, fresh bananas and mixed frozen fruit. Then on top I added a spoonful of peanut butter, vanilla agave organic granola and raspberries. 🍓🍇🥥
