Fry until the curry leaves are crisp.Add in onion, ginger and garlic paste. Add green chillies according to your taste. Fry till they are lightly brown. Add in a teaspoon of turmeric powder, 2 teaspoons of red chilli powder and garam masala powder. Add salt for taste and fry for a minute.Add in the fish pieces and let it cook for 5 minutes.Now add in the tamarind pulp and bendi (I used small Indian okra). Add 2 more cups of water and cover it.After 30 minutes the oil would start to float on top. Add coriander leaves in the last and remove off heat and serve hot with rice.
